Windows 10 upgrade may reset your default browser to Microsoft Edge instead of Firefox. Follow these steps to set Firefox as your default browser.
- Google Chrome will need to be installed before you can set it as your default browser. You can install Chrome by visiting google.com/chrome/ and clicking 'Download' at the top of the screen. 2 Run the Chrome installer after downloading it.
- To change the default to Firefox, open Firefox, tap the three-dot icon in the upper right, select Settings, then tap the option to Make Firefox your default browser. Tap the entry for Browser app.
- Set Chrome as your default web browser On your Android, open Settings. Tap Apps & notifications. At the bottom, tap Advanced.
- Click the menu button and select ..
- In the General panel, click .
- The Windows Settings app will open with the Choose default apps screen.
- Scroll down and click the entry under Web browser. In this case, the icon will say either Microsoft Edge or Choose your default browser.
- In the Choose an app screen, click Firefox to set it as the default browser.
- Firefox is now listed as your default browser. Close the window to save your changes.
Google Search is installed but not set as your default search provider. To default to Google, here's how you do it: Click the Tools icon at the far right of the browser window. All you need to do is visit the search engine's website to add that search engine to Edge. If you want to install Google, visit Google's homepage. For DuckDuckGo, visit DuckDuckGo's homepage. Once you've done so, you can make it the default using the instructions below.
An official version of Google Chrome has been available to try out for several months.

First things first – Chrome is super fast. Quick, swift, pronto, whatever! it's really fast at loading pages. Try two pages side-by-side in Firefox and Chrome and see.
